Vinyl Care
All of our cushions are made with Seabrook marine grade vinyl, which is manufactured to hold up to rough marine conditions. It has built in mildew and UV inhibitors which we have found add lifespan to our products. In order to get the most mileage out of your new cushions, we recommend the following upkeep to ensure long life and the best appearance.
Just a note: the best way to protect your new cushions, is to keep them clean and dry when not in use and preferably out of the direct sunlight (covered)
Basic Cleaning: We recommend using only a mild detergent and water solution used with a sponge or damp cloth to clean your cushions, we do not recommend the use of bleach as it will break down the integrity of the threads and also may discolor the vinyl.
UV protection: As with most vinyl products the use of a protectant can add years of life to your new investment, we recommend 303 Aerospace protectant. There are others available but most are petroleum based (armor all, son of a gun etc) 303 is a water based protectant that will not break down the integrity of your vinyl. Follow instructions on the bottle but typically conditioning your new cushions 3 or 4 times a year is adequate depending on environment.
