Template Tutorial
At times when replacing your cushions, there are odd shapes or sizes that make it difficult to just build a replacement cushion from measurements (bow cushions, leaning post, odd or angled, elliptical or shapes with cutouts etc). These are the times when we will require a template to construct your new cushion. The easiest way to accomplish this, is go to your local hardware store and buy some very inexpensive painters plastic and a sharpie magic marker. Painters plastic is typically less than $5 and well worth it to ensure a perfect fit for your finished product.
To make a proper template all you need to do is trace the actual spot on the boat that you are wanting to cover or send us the old cushions (older cushions tend to shrink or become slightly disfigured over time so the actual spot on the boat is preferable) Once you have the cushion outlined on the plastic then write the word "TOP" on the plastic side that will represent the top of the cushion, you should also indicate where the back of the cushion would be, so we know where to place the seams on the cushion, giving you the best forward appearance. Also if there are any particular snap or hardware locations that you are trying to hit, they should be properly marked as well.
